  • 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed off About 500 g
  • 1.25 cups mozzarella, shredded Use freshly grated for best melting quality
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons shredded fresh parmesan
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped Or 1 tablespoon pre-minced garlic
  • 0.75 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper

Preparation

  • Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) and spray a baking sheet with nonstick oil.
  • Spread your green beans out flat on the greased baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart for even cooking.
  • In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, parmesan, garlic, Kosher salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Pour the oil mixture over the green beans and toss them to ensure each bean is covered.

Cooking

  • Slide the pan into the oven and bake for about 20 minutes until the beans are bright and slightly crisp.
  • Once done, sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the top and return the pan under the broiler for another 4 to 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
  • Move the Cheesy Garlic Green Beans to a serving plate and enjoy hot.

Notes

Leftover Cheesy Garlic Green Beans can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to three days. For freezing, cool completely and store for up to three months. Texture may change slightly after freezing.
