  • 1 pound lean ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups chopped cabbage
  • 15 ounces canned diced tomatoes
  • 8 ounces canned tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or mozzarella recommended.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Once it's beginning to cook, add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until everything is softened and well combined.
  3. Stir in the cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and spread it out evenly. Top with shredded cheese.
  5. Bake the casserole for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy the deliciousness!

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days or freeze for 2-3 months. Can add variations such as crushed red pepper flakes for spice or different cheeses for unique flavor.
