Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cooked macaroni, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, diced onion, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty.
- Place each patty in the center of an onion ring, pressing down gently to secure.
Coating
- Dredge each stuffed onion ring in flour, dip into beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
Cooking
- Carefully place the stuffed onion rings into the hot oil, frying until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove the cooked onion rings from the oil and let drain on paper towels.
Serving
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, wrap and freeze. Reheat in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
