Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 large salmon fillets (about 1.5 pounds total)
  • 1 piece cedar plank, soaked for 1 hour
  • 1 piece lemon, sliced and juiced
  • 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high (around 400°F).
  • Place the soaked cedar plank on the grill for 5 minutes to heat.
  • In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.

Cooking

  • Flip the plank and place the salmon skin-side down on the heated side.
  • Brush the salmon with the marinade and top with lemon slices and green onions.
  • Close the grill lid and cook for 15-20 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily and is opaque.
  • Remove from grill, let rest for 5 minutes, then serve on the plank with extra lemon.

Notes

Ensure the cedar plank is thoroughly soaked to prevent burning during grilling. Use fresh, high-quality salmon for the best flavor and texture. Keep the grill lid closed for more even cooking.
