Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut it into 24 small squares.
- Place each square into a mini muffin tin or directly onto the lined baking sheet, gently pressing down in the center to create little cups.
- Add one cube of Brie to each pastry square.
- Brush each one lightly with melted butter and drizzle maple syrup on top.
- Sprinkle with black pepper for a touch of warmth.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is puffed, golden, and bubbly.
Cranberry Honey Drizzle
- While the bites are baking, combine cranberries, honey, water, and lemon juice in a small saucepan.
- Simmer over low heat for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
Finishing Touches
- Remove the Brie bites from the oven and drizzle the warm cranberry honey sauce over each one.
- Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and crushed nuts if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Ensure the puff pastry is fully thawed for best results. Adjust sweetness of the cranberry honey drizzle to taste. Can be made in advance and refrigerated before baking.
