Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Core and dice the apples into bite-sized pieces, then toss them in a bowl with a tablespoon of lemon juice to prevent browning.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced apples with a sprinkle of cinnamon for about 5-7 minutes until slightly tender.
  • While the apples cool, prepare your caramel sauce by combining equal parts sugar and cream in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth.

Assembly

  • Layer the bottom of your cups with crumbled graham crackers, then add a layer of sautéed apples, followed by a generous drizzle of caramel sauce.
  • Repeat the layers until the cups are full, finishing with a drizzle of caramel on top. Optionally garnish with extra graham cracker crumbs or nuts.

Chilling

  • Chill your dessert cups in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
