  • 1 box raspberry or cherry-flavored Jello Choose a box to match the festive spirit.
  • 1 cup boiling water Boil before mixing with gelatin.
  • 1/2 cup Peppermint Schnapps For a non-alcoholic option, use peppermint extract and vanilla-flavored syrup.
  • 1/2 cup cold water To cool down the mixture.
  • to taste whipped cream For topping the shots.
  • to taste crushed candy canes Optional for garnish and added crunch.

Preparation

  • Boil 1 cup of water in a pot.
  • Mix in the gelatin powder until fully dissolved.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and allow it to cool slightly.

Mixing and Setting

  • Stir in 1/2 cup of Peppermint Schnapps and 1/2 cup of cold water.
  • Pour the mixture into shot glasses or small cups, filling them about halfway.
  • Let them chill in the refrigerator for at least 2-4 hours or until fully set.

Serving

  • Once set, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed candy canes.
  • Serve and enjoy while sharing holiday stories.

Notes

Ensure boiling water is at a rolling boil for best results. A funnel can help with pouring the mixture. Allow ample chilling time for the best texture.
