Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup Fireball whiskey Can be substituted with flavored extracts for a non-alcoholic version.
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon extract (optional) Add for extra flavor if desired.
  • Red gel food coloring
  • White gel food coloring
  • Powdered sugar for dusting To prevent sticking.
  • Silicone round candy molds

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by combining the granulated sugar and light corn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Once the mixture begins to boil, stop stirring. Allow it to boil until it reaches 300°F (the hard crack stage).
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly stir in the Fireball whiskey, peppermint extract, and cinnamon extract if you choose to use it.
Coloring and Molding
  1. Divide the mixture between two bowls. Add red gel food coloring to one and white gel food coloring to the other. Mix until well combined.
  2. Carefully pour the red mixture into your candy molds, followed by the white mixture to create a beautiful swirl look.
Cooling
  1. Let the candy cool completely before gently removing it from the molds.
  2. Finally, dust your finished candies with powdered sugar to prevent them from sticking together.

Notes

You can enjoy Candy Cane Fireball Hard Candy in various ways, such as serving in a festive bowl or packaging them as gifts. Store in an airtight container at room temperature to keep them fresh. If they stick together, dust with more powdered sugar.
