  • 1 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper Adjust for heat preference
  • to taste Red pepper flakes (optional)

Preparation

  • Before you begin, ensure your mixing bowl, measuring spoons, and whisk or fork are clean and completely dry.
  • Using your measuring spoons, carefully measure the spices and add them to your mixing bowl.
  • Mix all the spices in the bowl with your whisk or fork until well combined.
  • If you prefer a finer texture, sift the seasoning mix through a sieve to remove larger chunks.
  • Spoon your blended Cajun seasoning into an airtight container.
  • Label the container with the seasoning name and date it was made.
  • Store the container in a cool, dark place.
  • Your Cajun seasoning is now ready to use.

Notes

Store in an airtight container to retain flavor. Refrigeration is not necessary, but keep it away from heat and moisture for a longer shelf life. Consider freezing portions for easy use as needed.
