  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed Use cold butter for flakiness.
  • 3/4 cup milk Can substitute with plant-based milk.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in the milk until just combined.
  • Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  • Roll out to about 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits.
  • Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. Unbaked biscuits can be frozen for up to 2 months.
