Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt add more if desired
  • 1 wheel (5.2 oz) Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

Cooking the Chicken

  • Sprinkle garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper over both sides of your chicken.
  • Pour olive oil into your skillet and put it on medium heat.
  • Drop in the chicken, allowing it to sizzle for 4–5 minutes, then flip and do the same on the other side until cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep it warm.

Cooking the Orzo

  • In the same pan, toss in the orzo pasta and stir for a minute or two.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, increase the heat until it begins to bubble, then cover with a lid.
  • Stir every few minutes and let it cook for about 8–10 minutes, until the orzo is tender but not mushy.

Making the Sauce

  • Reduce the heat, mix in the heavy cream and Boursin cheese, stirring until smooth.
  • Add the chopped spinach and stir until the leaves wilt, about a minute.
  • Add the cooked chicken back into the pan, warming together.

Serving

  • Before serving, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
  • Enjoy the dish as is or pair with a light salad, garlic bread, or steamed vegetables.
