  • 1/2 cup melted butter Make sure butter is fully melted but not too hot.
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups blackberries (fresh or frozen) No need to thaw frozen blackberries before baking.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together the melted butter, flour, sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Scatter the blackberries evenly over the top of the batter.

Baking

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown and bubbling.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

Serve with ice cream or whipped cream for extra sweetness. Fresh mint leaves can be added as a garnish. Consider adding a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor.
