  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage Cooked until browned
  • 3 cups frozen shredded hashbrowns Fully thawed for even cooking
  • 1 packet (2.75 oz) sausage gravy mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Additional cheeses can be mixed in

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, frozen hashbrowns, gravy mix, and milk.
  • Cut the biscuits into quarters and fold them into the mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the biscuits are golden brown.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with fresh fruit or a green salad. Consider adding homemade salsa or sour cream for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
