  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Can substitute with dairy-free alternative.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup colorful sprinkles Customize based on occasion.
  • Frosting (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with the granulated and brown sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, beating well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the colorful sprinkles, making sure they are evenly dispersed throughout the dough.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges turn lightly golden, but the centers remain soft.
  2. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Optional Frosting
  1. Frost with your favorite frosting and sprinkle with additional colorful sprinkles for extra flair!

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freezing is also an option; use a freezer-safe container with layers separated by parchment paper. Don't overbake and consider chilling the dough for a thicker cookie.
