  • 1 box devil's food cake, 18 oz Use your favorite brand.
  • 1 tub Cool Whip, 16 oz Thawed before use.
  • 1 jar caramel sauce, 14 oz Can be store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 can condensed milk, 14 oz
  • 4 bars Heath bars Crushed for topping.

Preparation

  • Bake the devil's food cake according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
  • Once cooled, poke holes in the cake with a fork.
  • Pour the caramel sauce and condensed milk over the top, allowing it to soak into the holes.
  • Spread the Cool Whip evenly over the entire cake.
  • Crush the Heath bars into small pieces and sprinkle them on top.
  • Refrigerate for a few hours before serving.

Notes

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap or foil. The cake can last for up to 3 days in the fridge. Try using homemade caramel sauce for a richer flavor and consider adding nuts or fruits for variety.
