Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, followed by the sour cream until well blended.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
Baking
- Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Flatten each ball slightly and sprinkle with colored sprinkles or sugar crystals.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
