Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Must be at room temperature.
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
Decoration
  • 1/2 cup colored sprinkles or sugar crystals For decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, followed by the sour cream until well blended.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  2. Flatten each ball slightly and sprinkle with colored sprinkles or sugar crystals.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are golden.
  4. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
