Ingredients

  • 3 pieces ripe avocados
  • 0.25 cup diced red onion
  • 0.25 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 pieces limes (zest and juice)
  • 1 small jalapeño pepper, diced
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt plus more to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
  • 1 to 2 pieces Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, place the ripe avocados, diced red onion, finely chopped cilantro, lime zest and juice, diced jalapeño, sea salt, and optional ground cumin.
  • Using a fork or potato masher, gently mash the ingredients together until well combined but still retaining some chunky texture.
  • Fold in the seeded and diced Roma tomatoes carefully.
  • Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning with additional salt if needed.

Notes

Serve with tortilla chips, tacos, or as a topping for salads. To keep guacamole fresh, store in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed against the surface. Can be stored for up to 2 days in the fridge.
