Ingredients
  

Pizza Base

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

Toppings

  • 1 cup smoky barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 oz cooked bacon, crumbled Use crispy cooked bacon for best results.
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro For garnish.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Spread the smoky barbecue sauce evenly over the base.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Evenly distribute the crumbled bacon, red onion, and bell peppers on top.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh cilantro.
  • Slice and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with extra barbecue sauce or ranch dressing on the side for dipping. Great paired with a fresh salad or your favorite drinks. Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
