  • 3 ripe pears, halved and cored Choose ripe pears for the best flavor and texture.
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted Used for brushing pears.
  • 2 tbsp honey, plus more for drizzling Can adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon For flavor.
  • 1/2 cup mixed fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries) Experiment with different berries based on seasonal availability.
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, lightly toasted Enhances flavor and crunchiness.
  • 1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese Alternatively, use Gorgonzola for a milder flavor.
  • Fresh thyme leaves, for garnish (optional) Adds a touch of elegance.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Place the pear halves cut-side up in the dish.
  • Brush with melted butter and drizzle with honey.
  • Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.

Baking

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until pears are tender but still hold their shape.
  • Remove from oven and spoon a few berries into the hollow of each pear.
  • Sprinkle with walnuts and top with crumbled blue cheese.
  • Return to oven for 5 more minutes, just until the cheese softens slightly.
  • Drizzle with a touch more honey and garnish with fresh thyme before serving.

Notes

Can be served warm; great as a dessert or a unique appetizer. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for freshness.
