  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions or fresh cilantro (optional) For garnish

  • 8-10 pieces small flour or corn tortillas

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, salsa, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Lay out the tortillas and place a portion of the filling on each. Roll them up tightly.
  4. Arrange the taquitos on a baking sheet, seam side down.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the tortillas are golden and crispy.

Notes
