  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, room temperature Use room-temperature for easier mixing.
  • 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated (divided) Divided into 1 ¾ cups and ¼ cup for topping.
  • 1 cup Cranberry Sauce
  • ½ cup Fresh Cranberries

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a small oven-safe baking dish (about 6×9 inches).
  3. Using a mixer or hand whisk, whip the room temperature cream cheese until it becomes fluffy and smooth.
  4. Add 1 ¾ cups of the grated sharp cheddar cheese to the whipped cream cheese and stir until well combined.
  5. Gently fold in the cranberry sauce and fresh cranberries to the cheese mixture.
  6. Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Baking
  1. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until bubbly and heated through.
  2. For a golden brown finish, place the dip under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
Serving
  1. Remove from oven and serve immediately with crackers, bread, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

Store any leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. It can also be frozen before baking; just thaw overnight in the refrigerator. Experiment with different cheese varieties or add fresh herbs for variations.
