  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the navy beans, ketchup, brown sugar, diced onion, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, until bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

For best flavor, allow baked beans to sit for a few minutes after baking. Adjust sweetness by varying the brown sugar amount. Add bacon or smoked paprika for a smoky flavor. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 3-5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
