  • 2 pieces ripe Bananas Use overripe bananas for maximum sweetness.
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon Powder Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar You can vary the amount based on your sweetness preference.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter, melted Brush on the bananas before baking.
  • 1 teaspoon Honey (optional) Drizzle on top before serving if desired.
  • ¼ teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional) Adds flavor but can be omitted.

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking dish or tray with parchment paper.
  • Slice each banana in half lengthwise and place cut-side up on the baking sheet.
  • Brush the bananas with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  • Add vanilla if using.

Baking

  • Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the bananas are soft and caramelized.
  • Drizzle with honey if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Baked Bananas are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Reheat in short bursts in the microwave or in a low oven. Consider adding nuts, spices, or citrus zest for variations.
