Bacon Mac Cheeseburger Stuffed Pretzel Dogs

Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 1 package hot dogs Any kind of hot dog can be used.
  • 1 cup cooked macaroni noodles
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Substitutions are welcome for different cheese types.
  • 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup ketchup Can be substituted with preferred condiments.
  • 1/4 cup mustard
For the Pretzel Coating
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 beaten egg egg For egg wash.
  • Pretzel salt For sprinkling on top.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni noodles, shredded cheddar cheese, cooked and crumbled bacon, diced onions, diced pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Mix until well combined.
  3. Take a piece of biscuit dough and flatten it out. Place a hot dog in the center. Spoon some of the bacon mac cheeseburger mixture on top of the hot dog.
  4. Carefully fold the dough around the hot dog, ensuring to seal the edges tightly.
  5. Repeat this process for the remaining hot dogs.
Cooking
  1. In a pot, bring water to a boil and add in the baking soda. Boil each pretzel dog for about 30 seconds, then transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Brush each pretzel dog with the beaten egg and sprinkle lightly with pretzel salt.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  4. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Consider serving with dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or ranch dressing, and side dishes such as coleslaw. For leftovers, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze individually wrapped for up to a month. Reheat at 350°F for 15 minutes from frozen.
