Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns
  • 1/2 onion sliced onion
  • 1 piece tomato, sliced
  • to taste lettuce
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • to taste ketchup
  • to taste mustard
  • to taste mayonnaise

Method

Cooking
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Once done, remove it from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions. Cook them until they’re golden and caramelized. Once finished, set them aside.
  3. While the onions are cooking, form the ground beef into 4 equal patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. In the skillet over medium-high heat, cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  5. Just before the patties are done, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  6. While the cheese is melting, toast the hamburger buns in the skillet or toaster oven until golden and warm.
  7. Start with the bottom bun, place a patty on it, then stack on a slice of tomato, lettuce, bacon, caramelized onions, and your preferred condiments—ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.
  8. Cap it with the top bun and serve while hot!
