  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 cups instant rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with other cheeses.
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the instant rice and beef broth, bringing it to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 5 minutes or until the rice is tender.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve warm.

Notes
