Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork.
- Add in the bread crumbs, diced onion, minced garlic, sliced mushrooms, and shredded Swiss cheese.
- Crack in the eggs, then pour in the ketchup and Worcestershire sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper, then mix until fully combined.
- Line a loaf pan with the strips of bacon, ensuring they cover the bottom and sides completely.
- Carefully press the meat mixture into the loaf pan on top of the bacon, shaping it into a loaf.
Baking
- Bake in your preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until cooked through and the bacon is crispy.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze individual slices for up to three months.
