Ingredients
  

For the Turkey Melt
  • 1 pound applewood smoked turkey breast, sliced Can substitute with rotisserie chicken or plant-based option.
  • 4 slices your favorite bread
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese Can substitute with pepper jack for extra kick.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Generously butter one side of each slice.
For the Cranberry Whiskey Glaze
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons whiskey Omit for non-alcoholic version.
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the cranberry sauce, whiskey, honey, and Dijon mustard. Cook over medium heat until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Generously butter one side of each slice of bread.
Assembly
  1. Place two slices of bread on a baking sheet, butter side down. Layer each with turkey, a slice of cheddar cheese, and a generous dollop of the cranberry whiskey glaze.
  2. Add the remaining slices of bread on top, with the butter side facing up.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden and toasted.
