Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, diced apples, and half of the crumble topping, if using. Stir gently to mix.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and apple mixture. Gently fold everything together to ensure even coating.
- Transfer this mixture into your prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining crumble topping on top.
Baking
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is golden brown.
- Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce. Dust with powdered sugar for a lovely presentation. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days; can freeze for up to three months.
