Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Apple Filling

  • 3 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced Use a mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp for tartness and sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter For sautéing apples.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until combined. Press mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter and add the sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook until apples are tender.
  • Pour apple mixture over the crust in the pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the topping is crisp.
  • Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Slice the cheesecake into generous pieces and serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzle some caramel sauce on top for an extra sweet touch. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze individual slices tightly wrapped.
