  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 apple, cored and chopped
  • 1 banana Use ripe for sweetness
  • 1 cup milk (or plant-based milk) Almond or oat milk can be used
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional) Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup yogurt (optional) Use dairy or plant-based yogurt
  • Ice cubes (optional) For a thicker smoothie

Preparation

  • In a blender, combine the rolled oats, chopped apple, banana, milk, cinnamon, and sweetener if desired.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add yogurt or ice cubes and blend again.
  • Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

Serve chilled in a tall glass, optionally sprinkle cinnamon on top. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; shake or stir before drinking. Try adding chia seeds or flaxseeds for extra nutrition.
