  • 2 cups elbow macaroni Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 cup mayonnaise Use your preferred brand.
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar Can use white or apple cider vinegar.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1 cup celery, chopped For crunch and flavor.
  • 1 cup bell pepper, chopped Use any color for variety.
  • 1 cup onion, chopped Red or green onion can be used.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar cheese works well.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and rinse with cold water.
  • In a large bowl, mix together mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar.
  • Add the cooked macaroni, celery, bell pepper, onion, and cheese.
  • Stir until well combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Serve cold for best flavor. Garnish with chopped parsley or extra cheese. Store in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
