Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix in both the vanilla and almond extracts.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and fold in the sliced almonds.
Baking
- Shape the dough into a log on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until the log is golden brown.
- Once cooled slightly, slice the log into biscotti shapes and return the slices to the oven.
- Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until crispy.
- Let them cool completely before serving.
Notes
Store biscotti in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. Freeze for up to three months.
