Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 9 ounces refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 2.5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.75 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • 0.75 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese Pecorino Romano can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by boiling a medium saucepan of water. Once it’s boiling, add the cheese tortellini and cook for about 4 minutes.
  2. Carefully drain the tortellini and rinse it under cold water to stop the cooking process. Ensure to drain well for achieving a crispy finish.
  3. In a medium bowl, drizzle the tortellini with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Sprinkle in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, kosher salt, black pepper, and half of the grated parmesan. Mix until well-coated.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 360°F, if required, and spray the basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Arrange the tortellini in a single layer in the basket. Air fry for 6 minutes, then shake the basket and return for another 5 to 6 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Transfer tortellini to a serving dish, sprinkle with remaining parmesan and chopped parsley, and enjoy!

Notes

For storage, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, air fry for 3 to 4 minutes until crispy. Consider adding crushed red pepper flakes or sun-dried tomatoes for added flavor.
