Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 454 grams ground beef
  • 4 large (25 cm) flour tortillas
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 15 milliliters mayonnaise
  • 15 milliliters ketchup
  • 16 slices pickle slices
  • 15 milliliters melted butter
  • 2.5 milliliters salt
  • 2.5 milliliters ground black pepper
  • 15 milliliters garlic powder

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add ground beef and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully browned with no pink remaining. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Place tortillas on a microwave-safe plate, cover them with a damp paper towel, and microwave for 20–25 seconds until flexible.

Assembling the Wraps

  • Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise and ketchup over each tortilla.
  • Top each with 4 pickle slices, 1 slice of American cheese, and approximately 120 grams of cooked beef.
  • Fold in the sides and roll tightly to form a wrap.

Cooking

  • Brush the tops of the wraps with melted butter to promote golden crispness.
  • Preheat air fryer to 193°C. Arrange wraps in a single layer and air fry for 5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Optionally, brush with additional melted butter after cooking.

Serving

  • Allow wraps to cool for a few minutes before cutting in half, if desired. Serve while warm.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them back in the air fryer for a few minutes until warmed and crispy. You can also freeze the wraps before cooking and cook from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
