  • 6 ounces pre-made Oreo pie crust
  • 12 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 ounces semi-sweet baking bar
  • 8 ounces tub whipped topping
  • 1 cup canned cherry pie filling
  • Chocolate curls (for garnish)
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate baking bar (for curls)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (for curls)

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add in the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. Melt the 3 ounces of semi-sweet baking bar and fold it into the cheesecake mixture.
  4. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour half of the cheesecake mixture into the Oreo pie crust.
  6. Layer with half of the cherry pie filling.
  7. Pour the remaining cheesecake mixture on top, followed by the rest of the cherry pie filling.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.
  9. For the chocolate curls, melt the 4 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate with 1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening, spread it on a baking sheet, and let it cool slightly, then scrape to create curls.
  10. Garnish the cheesecake with chocolate curls before serving.
