  • 1/4 tsp fine salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or berries

Optional Vanilla Frosting

  • 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups (250 g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tbsp milk (plus 1–2 tsp more if needed)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
